This page is here to explain the " Indie Market " project to those interested in participating.
the idea :
- a small clean site that features 11 ads per page
- only Indie designers, artists and artisans allowed (sign up here)
- ongoing intense advertising campaigns on the Google network and Facebook
- each page has its own ads on Google and Facebook!!
- immediate links to designers website by clicking on image
- very few words...the images have to do the talking
- clean well photographed images, against light clean background
- ads will remain on the site for one month minimum
- same designers may advertise on different pages if space is available
the look:
- minimalistic
- the ads will stand out!
- to avoid an incomplete look each page will not be launched until 11 ads are booked
- linked to facebook page
- linked to twitter account
why?
- Google ads are very effective when run properly and optimized almost daily , because they are shown to people who are interested in "your" product...
- Facebook ads are effective for similar reasons and help build brand awareness because of the visual impact.
- There will only be 11 ads per page and each page will have it's own ad driven traffic through Google and Facebook ads. This means that people looking for "handmade bags" will be sent directly to the "handmade bags" page on the site! Each page has it's own advertising !!!
- This assembly of ads means that each page costs are shared by 11 people, this allows for a bigger advertising budget and yet still great visibility.
- 11 designers on a page is not a crowd .. it's a nice visual assembly of similar items but not overpowering
- ...together we are stronger, but too many is a crowd!
what do you as designer or artist have to do?
- Sign up for a minimum of 2 months. This can be extended per month.
- Supply us with one url for each ad , this will be linked with the image.
- Supply 1 large image per ad. This image needs to be clear and crisp, against a neutral background (not a dark background). The image has to be free of text or any form of advertising.
- Provide a "your store name" or "your name" or "your business name" that will be added to the image by our webmaster. This will be added in the same way using the same font style to each ad to create the feeling of unity. Clicking on an image will open a new page to the link you provided for the ad.
- Payment is accepted through Paypal and has to be paid in advance.

if you wonder why the prices are what they are... as an advertising agency we are very aware that the most of the searches done by your potential customers will be using popular words. Google works with a bidding system..the highest bid gets the best position. You will not get the best results with the lowest bid. But we will use every trick in the book to get the most and best result for your money!

what is the money used for?
- website costs: domain, hosting (3%)
- webmaster costs: updating site images and links , search engine optimalization (20%)
- Google adwords: advertising budget and intense optimalization per website page (40%)
- Facebook ads: advertising budget and optimalization (30%)
- office costs, broadband and utilities, printing, accounting (6%)
- Paypal costs (1%)
